Meet the person behind Spit & Pixel.
Hi, I’m Jo. Nice to meet you!
I’m a freelance web designer and digital creative based in Cornwall, UK, with 27 years of experience across web design, SEO, e-commerce, branding, content, graphic design and digital marketing.
I’ve worked with everyone from international brands and charities to start ups and independent businesses, but what I enjoy most is getting to know the people behind a business, understanding what makes it tick and finding creative ways to help it grow.
That is why I created Spit & Pixel. My broad digital experience means you do not need to find a different specialist every time you need something done. I can see the bigger picture, bring the different pieces together and then actually do the work, giving you one experienced digital partner and one point of contact from idea to launch and beyond.
You get the breadth of experience you might expect from an agency, but with the flexibility, personal service and direct communication of working with a freelancer.
I’m based in Cornwall, but work remotely with businesses across the UK and internationally.

Over the years, I’ve worked on digital and creative projects for businesses of all sizes, including established brands such as Glenfiddich, Grant’s Whisky, Drambuie and Photobox, as well as fashion stores, agencies, charities, therapists, hotels, publishers, events, independent businesses and start-ups.
Today, I bring that experience directly to businesses that need professional digital expertise without hiring an agency or another permanent employee.
